Box.com is the file sharing service we use to send and receive images. We’ll walk you through setting up a new Box.com account, if you don’t already have one, and show you how to upload your images to us for editing and download completed images from us.
First, check your email for a message from Real Estate Photo Fix inviting you to collaborate on Box.
Click one of those emails, it doesn’t matter which one, and then click on the accept invite button.
Create a free Box.com account by entering your name, choosing a password, and clicking “Submit”.
Click on “Skip this and go straight to Box” under the “Next” button.
You’ll now be on the main page of your Box.com account. You should see two folders. One will be labeled “Upload” and the other will be labeled “Completed”.
Let’s start by uploading some images to Real Estate Photo Fix for editing. Click on the “Upload” folder.
Click on “Upload” in the upper right hand corner and select “Folder”.
Select the folder you’d like to upload. We recommend labeling each folder with the property address so we can match up your editing notes with each upload.
Your images will start to upload to Box.
When they’re finished uploading you should see the folder inside your “Upload” folder on Box.
To get back to your main dashboard, just click on “All Files”.
Now let’s walk through sharing and downloading images that have already been edited. Click on the “Completed” folder.
Right-clicking on a folder will open up a menu with some options.
We’ll start by looking at the sharing options. You can choose to invite others to the folder by creating a shared link. You can copy the link and email it or enter the email address of the person you want to invite to the folder.
You can also download the images by right-clicking the folder and selecting “Download”.
You’ll likely be greeted by a prompt asking you if you want to save the file or where to save the file to. Please note that downloaded folders will save as a .zip file on your computer. You’ll need to unzip the file to access your photos.
You can also click on the folder to enter it and view a list of your images.
Clicking on an image will enlarge it.
Now let’s walk through how to set up notifications so that you receive an email when your edited photos are ready. First, we’ll go back to the dashboard by clicking on “All Files”.
Then we’ll find the “Completed” folder and right-click on it and we’ll select the “Settings” option.
You’ll need to scroll down the settings page until you see “Emails and Notifications”.
Select “Override default settings for this folder and all subfolders” and check the box for “Uploads”.
Now anytime we upload photos to your Box account you’ll receive an email.
